Campground Onboarding Wizard

Updated over 2 months ago

After setting up your organisation, you'll be guided through the onboarding wizard to create your first campground. The wizard has five steps, each with a progress bar showing your completion percentage. You can navigate between completed steps by clicking on the step numbers, and you can skip any step by clicking Skip This Step.

Step-by-Step

1. Create Your Organisation

If you haven't already, you'll be asked to create your organisation first. This must be completed before you can add a campground.

2. Start the Onboarding Wizard

The wizard opens automatically after your organisation is created.

3. Step 1: Basic Information

  • Campground Name - The name of your campground, displayed to your customers.

  • Campground Logo - Upload your campground's logo (optional). Accepted formats: SVG, GIF, PNG, JPG, JPEG.

  • Contact Phone - Your campground's contact phone number. Pre-filled from your registration details.

  • Contact Email - Your campground's contact email address. Pre-filled from your registration details.

  • Google Business Profile - Search for your campground and select from the Google Places suggestions. If a result is selected, your street address will be auto-filled.

  • Street Address - Your campground's street address, so customers can find your campground.

  • Check-In Time - The default check-in time for your campsites.

  • Check-Out Time - The default check-out time for your campsites.

  • Timezone - Select your local timezone for accurate booking times.

4. Step 2: Terms & Privacy

  • Booking Terms & Conditions - Enter your campground's booking terms and conditions using the rich text editor. These terms will be presented to customers before they complete a booking.

  • Privacy Policy - Enter your campground's privacy policy using the rich text editor. This is separate from Camper BMS's privacy policy and explains how your campground collects, uses, and protects customer information.

5. Step 3: Policies & Reminders

  • Allow Customers To Cancel - Toggle whether customers can cancel bookings via their account section.

  • Cancellation Timeframe - Number of days prior to a booking to allow free cancellation. Only shown when cancellation is enabled.

  • Automatic Refund On Cancellation - Toggle whether to automatically issue a refund of all invoices associated with a booking if the customer cancels. Only shown when cancellation is enabled.

  • Send Customer Booking Reminder - Choose when to send a reminder email to the customer before check-in. Options: Never, 1 day before, 2 days before, 3 days before, 5 days before, 7 days before, or 14 days before.

  • Send Customer Post-Stay Email - Choose when to send a follow-up email to the customer after check-out. Options: Never, 1 day after, 2 days after, 3 days after, 5 days after, 7 days after, or 14 days after.

6. Step 4: Invoice Settings

  • Your Business - Displays your entity name and ABN, populated automatically from your registration details.

  • Is This Entity Registered For GST? - Toggle Yes or No. If set to Yes, GST messaging will be shown on totals and invoices.

  • Invoice Address - The address to display on customer invoices, entered using a rich text editor. Defaults to the street address from Step 1.

  • Invoice Notes - Any additional information to show on invoices, entered using a rich text editor.

7. Step 5: Review & Create

Review a summary of all your settings across each section: Basic Information, Terms & Privacy, Policies & Reminders, and Invoice Settings. If anything needs changing, click Back to return to previous steps.

Click Create Campground to save your new campground.

8. Next Steps Popup

After your campground is created, you'll see a congratulations popup with recommended next steps:

  • Add Billing Method - Required to accept paid bookings through Camper BMS.

  • Import Data - Import campsite areas, campsites, bookings, customers, and reviews.

  • Set Up Maps - Add your campground maps and generate interactive hotspots.

  • Payment Gateway - A payment gateway allows customers to pay for their bookings.

You can click any step to go to it directly, click I'll do this later to dismiss the popup, or click Mark All Complete to dismiss all steps at once.
