Dynamic Pricing

Dynamic pricing automatically adjusts your campsite rates based on historical booking patterns, demand, and special dates like weekends and public holidays.

Dynamic pricing automatically adjusts your campsite rates based on historical booking patterns, demand, and special dates like weekends and public holidays.

How It Works

The system analyses up to 2 years of your historical booking data to calculate occupancy rates for each day and month. It then generates a pricing multiplier for every day of the year that scales between your lower, standard, and higher price points.

Multiplier Scale

  • 0.0 = Your lower price.

  • 0.0 - 1.0 = Interpolated between your lower and standard price.

  • 1.0 = Your standard price.

  • 1.0 - 2.0 = Interpolated between your standard and higher price.

  • 2.0 = Your higher price.

Automatic Boosts

The system automatically applies boosts for:

  • Weekends — 30% boost.

  • Thursdays — 15% boost (captures early weekend arrivals).

  • Public holidays — 50% boost (based on your campground's timezone).

Enabling Dynamic Pricing

  1. Navigate to your campsite area's Edit Pricing & Rates page.

  2. Switch the toggle from Manual Pricing to Dynamic Pricing.

  3. Set your standard, higher, and lower prices (these define the range for dynamic pricing).

  4. Click Update Area to generate multipliers and save.

  5. Once generated, the pricing calendar will display showing daily prices colour-coded by tier.

When dynamic pricing is enabled, the manual higher and lower date pickers are hidden since the system determines pricing automatically.

The Pricing Calendar

When dynamic pricing is enabled and multipliers have been generated, a calendar view shows:

  • Each day's calculated price per night.

  • Colour coding: Lower, Standard, Higher, and Premium rates.

  • Tooltips with exact prices when you hover over a day.

  • Month-by-month navigation.

  • A pencil icon on days that have been manually overridden.

Disabling Dynamic Pricing

Switch the toggle back to Manual Pricing to revert to manual pricing with your higher/lower date selections. Your multiplier data is preserved if you re-enable it later.
