Opt a customer out of SMS notifications from the admin panel.
How to Opt Out
Open the customer profile.
Under the Contact Information section, the SMS Notifications badge shows whether the customer is Opted In or Opted Out.
If the customer is opted in, click the Opt Out link next to the badge to remove them from SMS communications.
Consent History
Below the SMS status badge, a Consent History log shows all previous opt-in and opt-out events, including the action taken, the source (e.g. admin, customer portal), and the date.
What Happens
The customer will no longer receive SMS messages from your campground.
Their consent history is updated to reflect the opt-out.
Customer Self-Service
Customers can also manage their own SMS preferences through the customer self-service portal.
STOP Replies (Carrier-Level Opt-Out)
If a customer replies STOP to an SMS, they are opted out at the carrier/number level. This is handled by the SMS provider and cannot be overridden by the campground or through the admin panel. The only way for the customer to re-subscribe is for them to reply START to the same number. No action from an admin can reverse a STOP opt-out.
