Configure SMS messaging for your campground.

Accessing SMS Settings

Navigate to Settings > SMS Settings from the campground menu.

Enabling SMS

  1. Click Enable SMS Services.

  2. Review the billing terms in the modal:

    • A one-time setup fee of AUD $39.00 covers provisioning a dedicated phone number for your campground.

    • 200 SMS messages are included per billing period.

    • Additional messages beyond the included allowance are billed at AUD $0.20 per message.

  3. Tick the acknowledgement checkbox to accept the terms and click Enable SMS Services.

  4. Your dedicated phone number will be provisioned automatically (usually takes less than a minute).

SMS Settings

Once enabled, configure when SMS messages are sent:

  • Booking Confirmation SMS β€” Send an SMS to customers when a booking is created or confirmed.

  • Booking Reminder SMS β€” Send an SMS reminder before check-in. Choose the timing (1 day, 2 days, 3 days, 5 days, 1 week, or 2 weeks before).

Sample SMS previews are shown for each message type.

Click Save SMS Settings to apply your changes.

Usage Tracking

The settings page displays your current month's SMS usage, including the number of messages sent, free messages remaining, and any overage charges.

Acceptable Use

SMS services may only be used for booking-related communications such as confirmations, reminders, and operational messages. Marketing, promotional, or unsolicited content is strictly prohibited and may result in suspension of SMS services, permanent number decommissioning by the carrier, or suspension of your account.

Camper BMS is not liable for carrier-imposed blocks, filtering, throttling, or delivery failures.

Disabling SMS

Click Disable SMS to turn off SMS services. Your phone number is retained for 60 days after disabling, during which you can re-enable without an additional setup fee. After 60 days, the number may be released. If no SMS messages are sent for 6 consecutive months, the number may also be automatically released. A new setup fee applies if SMS services are re-enabled after a number has been released.
