Configure whether and how customers can cancel their own bookings.

Accessing Settings

Navigate to Settings > Cancellation Settings from the campground menu.

Configuration

Allow Customers To Cancel

Toggle whether customers can cancel bookings through their account section. When disabled, only administrators can cancel bookings from the back-end.

Cancellation Timeframe

When customer cancellation is enabled, set the number of days prior to a booking's check-in date during which free cancellation is allowed. Cancellations requested after this window are not permitted through the customer portal.

Automatic Refund On Cancellation

When customer cancellation is enabled, toggle whether the system automatically submits a refund request to your connected payment provider when a booking is cancelled. A warning explains that by enabling this, Camper BMS will automatically submit refund requests to your payment provider's API without further approval. You are solely responsible for configuring this setting and any refunds processed.

How It Works

When a customer cancels through their account, the system checks whether the cancellation falls within the free cancellation timeframe. Admin cancellations from the back-end can override these rules with manual refund options.

Saving Changes

Click Update to apply. Changes affect future cancellations only.
