Importing Data
Migrate your existing data into Camper BMS by importing CSV files.
Accessing Data Migration
Navigate to Settings > Data Import/Export from the campground settings menu and select the Import Data tab. Data import and export is only available to the account owner.
What You Can Import
Campsite Areas - Your accommodation categories.
Campsites - Individual sites within areas.
Customers - Your customer database.
Bookings - Historical and upcoming bookings.
Leases - Long-term lease records.
If GoCardless is connected, a GoCardless Direct Debit Mandates option also appears. This pulls mandates from GoCardless rather than importing a CSV.
How to Import
The import process follows a three-step wizard:
Step 1: Select Type
Choose the Resource Type from the dropdown (Campsite Areas, Campsites, Customers, Bookings, or Leases).
Click Continue.
Step 2: Review Fields
Review the required and optional fields for your selected type. Required fields are marked with a coloured dot, optional fields with a grey dot.
Click Download Example CSV to get a template with the correct column headers and sample data.
Click Continue.
Step 3: Upload File
Click the upload area or drag and drop your completed CSV file.
Click Import Data to begin the import.
Review any validation errors that appear.

Import in the correct order: areas first, then campsites, then customers, then bookings and leases.
Check your data for formatting issues before uploading.
