Linking Your Website Search Form

Send guests from a search form on your own website straight to your Camper BMS booking page, with their dates, guests and accommodation type already filled in.

Form Setup

  1. Set the form's action to your booking page address, such as https://bookings.yourcampground.com.au/.

  2. Set the form's method to get.

  3. Name each field to match the list below.

Field Names

  • check_in - Arrival date. Use a date field (type="date"), or a text field in the format DD-MM-YYYY.

  • check_out - Departure date, in the same format as check_in.

  • adults - Number of adults. Use a number field, or a dropdown where each option's value is a number, such as <option value="2">2 adults</option>.

  • children (optional) - Number of children. When you charge for children separately, children are priced at your child rate. Otherwise they are counted as adults.

  • infants (optional) - Number of infants.

  • guests (optional) - Total number of guests, in place of adults and children.

  • type (optional) - The type of accommodation to show. Use the type set on your campsite areas, such as Powered Site or Cabin. Single words and plurals also match, so cabins shows your Cabin areas. A value that matches none of your area types shows all areas.

Example

<form action="https://bookings.yourcampground.com.au/" method="get">
    <label for="type">Site Type</label>
    <select id="type" name="type">
        <option value="">Please Select One</option>
        <option value="Powered Site">Powered Site</option>
        <option value="Unpowered Site">Unpowered Site</option>
        <option value="Cabin">Cabin</option>
    </select>

    <label for="check_in">Check In</label>
    <input type="date" id="check_in" name="check_in" required>

    <label for="check_out">Check Out</label>
    <input type="date" id="check_out" name="check_out" required>

    <label for="adults">Adults</label>
    <input type="number" id="adults" name="adults" min="1" value="2" required>

    <input type="number" id="children" name="children" min="0" value="0">

    <label for="infants">Infants</label>
    <input type="number" id="infants" name="infants" min="0" value="0">

    <button type="submit">Search</button>
</form>

When a guest submits this form, your booking page opens showing the areas available for their dates and number of guests.

Searching Into the Full Listing Widget

If a page on your own website holds the Full Listing Widget, the form can send guests to that page instead of your booking page.

  1. Set the form's action to the page holding the widget, such as https://www.yourcampground.com.au/book/.

  2. Keep the field names from the list above.

The widget reads the search from the page address and shows the areas available for those dates and guests.
