Terminating a Lease
How to Terminate
Open the lease detail page.
Click Cancel Lease (available for active or draft leases).
A confirmation modal titled Terminate Lease Agreement appears with a warning that you may still be required to comply with contractual terms set out in the agreement document.
Click Terminate Lease to confirm.
What Happens
The lease is terminated in the system.
The site becomes available for new leases or bookings.
Any outstanding invoices remain on record and can still be managed.
No final invoice is generated and the next invoice date is not cleared - terminating simply sets the lease status to Cancelled, which stops any further automatic invoices.
This action cannot be undone - if the tenant returns, you'll need to create a new lease.
Terminating takes effect immediately and does not produce a pro-rated final invoice. If you instead want the lease to run to a set date and have the final partial period automatically pro-rated, use the Schedule End Date action on the lease rather than terminating.
