Leases

Create and manage long-stay leases, recurring lease payments, metered electricity and water billing, and GoCardless direct debit.

Creating a Lease

Set up a new lease agreement for long-term or permanent site occupants.

Activating a Lease

Move a draft lease to active status when both parties are ready to proceed.

Editing a Lease

Modify the details of an existing lease agreement.

Lease Balance

The lease balance is a record your park keeps. Camper BMS is park management software, not a bank or financial institution: it does not hold the money, move it, or collect it. Tenants pay your park directly, and you update the balance to match.

Account Statements

Camper BMS is park management software, not a bank or financial institution. A statement reports what your park has recorded: the invoices you raised, the payments your own payment provider confirmed, and the balance changes you entered. Camper BMS does not hold money for your park or your tenants, and the balance on a statement is not an account with Camper BMS.

Lease Files & Agreements

Upload and manage documents associated with a lease.

Metered Utilities

Metered utilities bill each tenant for the electricity or water their site used, from readings you take off the site's meters, with an optional supply charge. Enter a new reading and its date, and the bill from the previous reading to that one is worked out straight away and waits for you to issue it. Each bill is a separate invoice beside rent, laid out the way a retailer's is: the dates and their day count, the readings it was taken from, usage at the rate, the supply charge, and the daily averages.

Renewing a Lease

Extend a lease for another term when the current one is ending - or restart one that has just expired.

Searching & Filtering Leases

Find leases quickly using search, filters, and sorting.

Setting up Direct Debit (GoCardless)

Collect rent from your long-term tenants' bank accounts automatically using GoCardless. This guide covers connecting GoCardless, importing mandates you already have, setting up a lease with auto-collection, and what your tenants see.

Terminating a Lease

On a metered site, read the meters when the tenant leaves, before anyone else has the site, and enter the readings in the Utilities section of the lease page. Their final electricity and water bills are ready to issue straight away. The Terminate Lease Agreement and Schedule End Date windows remind you, because usage since the last reading is billed to nobody without a final one. See Metered Utilities .
