Campground Onboarding Wizard
After setting up your organisation, you'll be guided through the onboarding wizard to create your first campground. The wizard has six steps, each with a progress bar showing your completion percentage. You can navigate between completed steps by clicking on the step numbers, and you can skip any step by clicking Skip This Step.
Step-by-Step
1. Create Your Organisation
If you haven't already, you'll be asked to create your organisation first. This must be completed before you can add a campground.
2. Start the Onboarding Wizard
The wizard opens automatically after your organisation is created.
3. Step 1: Basic Information
Campground Name - The name of your campground, displayed to your customers.
Campground Logo - Upload your campground's logo (optional). Accepted formats: GIF, PNG, JPG, JPEG.
Contact Phone - Your campground's contact phone number. Pre-filled from your registration details.
Contact Email - Your campground's contact email address. Pre-filled from your registration details.
Google Business Profile - Search for your campground and select from the Google Places suggestions. If a result is selected, your street address will be auto-filled.
Street Address - Your campground's street address, so customers can find your campground.
Check-In Time - The default check-in time for your campsites.
Check-Out Time - The default check-out time for your campsites.
Timezone - Select your local timezone for accurate booking times.
4. Step 2: Terms & Privacy
Booking Terms & Conditions - Enter your campground's booking terms and conditions using the rich text editor. These terms will be presented to customers before they complete a booking.
Privacy Policy - Enter your campground's privacy policy using the rich text editor. This is separate from Camper BMS's privacy policy and explains how your campground collects, uses, and protects customer information.
5. Step 3: Policies & Reminders
Allow Customers To Cancel - Toggle whether customers can cancel bookings via their account section.
Cancellation Timeframe - Number of days prior to a booking to allow free cancellation. Only shown when cancellation is enabled.
Automatic Refund On Cancellation - Toggle whether to automatically issue a refund of all invoices associated with a booking if the customer cancels. Only shown when cancellation is enabled.
Send Customer Booking Reminder - Choose when to send a reminder email to the customer before check-in. Options: Never, 1 day before, 2 days before, 3 days before, 5 days before, 7 days before, or 14 days before.
Send Customer Post-Stay Email - Choose when to send a follow-up email to the customer after check-out. Options: Never, 1 day after, 2 days after, 3 days after, 5 days after, 7 days after, or 14 days after.
6. Step 4: Invoice Settings
Your Business - Displays your entity name and ABN, populated automatically from your registration details.
GST Registration - Displays whether your organisation is registered for GST, read from the owner's profile. When registered, GST messaging is shown on totals and invoices. To change the registration, update the ABN details on the owner's profile - see Updating Your Profile.
Long-Stay GST Setting - Shown when the organisation is registered for GST. The concession from day 28 is the default and needs no confirmation; choosing the concession from day 1 instead asks you to confirm the determination behind it. The park's method can be chosen here or changed later in Settings > Payments & Invoicing > GST Settings. See GST Settings & Long-Stay Treatments.
Invoice Address - The address to display on customer invoices, entered using a rich text editor. Defaults to the street address from Step 1.
Invoice Notes - Any additional information to show on invoices, entered using a rich text editor.
7. Step 5: Menu Setup
This step lets you turn off anything you don't need right now so your sidebar stays focused. Nothing here is permanent - every choice can be changed later in Settings.
Each feature can be set to Shown or Hidden. These only hide the sidebar link - every feature stays fully available and reachable from search, and you can switch them back on anytime under Settings > Navigation:
Messaging - bulk communications with guests.
Surveys - guest feedback surveys.
Ballots - random draws for busy periods.
Leases - long-term and seasonal leases.
Discounts - discount codes for bookings.
Add-ons - bookable extras and add-ons.
API Tokens - API tokens for programmatic access.
Marketing - sync consented guests to Klaviyo or ActiveCampaign.
Webhooks - send event webhooks to your own systems.
Widgets - embeddable booking widgets for your website.
iCal Channel Sync - import and export availability via iCal.
Everything starts as Shown, so skipping this step simply leaves the full menu in place. See Navigation Settings.
8. Step 6: Review & Create
Review a summary of all your settings across each section: Basic Information, Terms & Privacy, Policies & Reminders, and Invoice Settings. If anything needs changing, click Back to return to previous steps.
Click Create Campground to save your new campground.
9. Next Steps Popup
After your campground is created, you'll see a congratulations popup with recommended next steps:
Add Billing Method - Required to accept paid bookings through Camper BMS.
Import Data - Import campsite areas, campsites, bookings, customers, and reviews.
Set Up Maps - Add your campground maps and generate interactive hotspots.
Payment Gateway - A payment gateway allows customers to pay for their bookings.
You can click any step to go to it directly, click I'll do this later to dismiss the popup, or click Mark All Complete to dismiss all steps at once (note: the billing method step must be completed separately and will not be marked complete by this action).
